About Pong News
Pong News is the first website dedicated to the science of table tennis and health. Every article on this site is based on peer-reviewed scientific research published in reputable medical and sports science journals.
Why This Site Exists
Table tennis is one of the most popular sports in the world, played by an estimated 300+ million people globally. Yet most players have no idea about the extraordinary scientific evidence showing that this sport can extend life, prevent dementia, strengthen bones, and transform aging.
Nobody is aggregating this research. Studies are scattered across dozens of journals, locked behind paywalls, and written in dense academic language. Pong News bridges that gap — making the science accessible, accurate, and actionable.
Our Methodology
Every article follows a rigorous research process:
- 01 We search PubMed, Google Scholar, and major journal databases for peer-reviewed studies on table tennis and health outcomes
- 02 Every health claim links to a specific peer-reviewed study with journal name, publication year, and authors
- 03 We report effect sizes and statistical significance, not just "studies show"
- 04 We never exaggerate findings beyond what the data supports
- 05 We clearly distinguish between correlation and causation
What We Cover
- Longevity: Life expectancy data, mortality reduction, aging biomarkers
